The Socio-Economic Effects of Youth Unemployment in Kashmir Valley

Abstract
Traditionally, the work has an influence on society and humans. The loss of employment is often a disruptive experience for an educated youth. Youth Unemployment is termed as “double threat” because of the continuous increase in young unemployed people that are not being able to participate in or to enter the mainstream society is considered to be the threat for the social cohesion of the society. The present paper examines the social implications of prolonged unemployment on youth viz health of an individual and the mishaps with families, suicidal tendency, late marriage, population a contributing factor of unemployment and the psychological disorder among youth, our education system, social isolation yet another threat among the youth of the Kashmir valley.
